Great job! Thought for today: Have you heard it said that God never gives you more than you can handle? Perhaps you have even said it? Did you know this statement isn’t true, you see over time that promise has become somewhat abbreviated, twisted. If that were so ask yourself this? What of the hungry, the abused, the victims of racism, those that have died due to COVID-19? What of the people of the world who have known no other life than a daily existence of war and terror? There is no place in the Bible that says “God never gives you more than you can handle.”
Paul tells us: (1 Corinthians 10:13).“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” If we take Paul’s words and God’s faithfulness seriously, we must look beyond our self to the pain and severe testing others endure.
Ask yourself: Can God use me to provide a way out for the hopeless? Can I help others?
