COVID cabinet to meet Sunday for the first time in a month

The coronavirus cabinet will convene on Sunday for the first time in a month after being criticized for the long hiatus, according to Israeli media.
In addition, Health Ministry Director-General Professor Nahman Ash said on Monday that hospitals will not be able to systematically check people’s Green Pass at the entrance to hospitals since they are considered essential services. He added that if a hospital head wishes to implement Green Pass checks he or she can do so under certain conditions.

Additionally, children between the ages of three to 12 who have recovered from COVID-19 will not need to undergo antigen tests in order to be allowed into educational institutions, Ash and Education Ministry Director-General Yigal Slovic decided on Sunday night.In general, children, except for those who have already recovered from the coronavirus, returning to school this coming Thursday, will be required to undergo an antigen test and present a statement from their parents affirming a negative result in order to enter schools.
There were 3,208 new coronavirus cases in Israel on Sunday, according to a Monday morning update from the Health Ministry, out of 76,257 tests administered with a 4.26% positivity rate. 
There are 671 patients in serious condition with 222 ventilated. 
Additionally, the R rate continues to drop at 0.76%.
Some 3.2 million Israelis have received their booster shot already, with 5.6 million receiving their second jab, and 6 million receiving the first. 
The death toll stands at 7,684.
