One Jadeidi-Makr resident was killed and another was seriously injured in a shooting incident in northern Israel on Monday evening. The unidentified shooter was still at large Monday night and the shooting is believed to be related to criminal activity.
The men were rushed to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya in critical and serious condition with gunshot wounds. The death of one of the men was declared at the hospital.
Israel Police opened an investigation into the incident and conducted a search in the area as forensic investigators are collecting evidence from the scene of the crime.

Violence in the Arab sector has been rising at an alarming rate, especially during the past month, when at least 16 killings had been recorded.
Dozens of people gathered outside the house of Public Security Minister Omer Bar-Lev on Saturday evening to protest against the rising murder rates and continued violence in Israel’s Arab communities.

According to Ynet, the protest was led by the mothers of victims murdered in the Arab sector. An estimated 120 people attended the protest in total.
In addition to the constant flow of news reports of murdered Arabs, recent months have also seen Arab criminal groups murdering a senior adviser to Justice Minister Gideon Sa’ar and a shooting at the house of a top Arab police commander handling the issue.
Though some cases get solved, many never do.
